Carrie Kellenberger Images for Escape Model Management

Photography by Carrie Kellenberger of My Several Worlds

Meet Simon and Vanessa, just two of the many talented (and gorgeous) models with Escape Model Management in Taiwan.

I had the pleasure of working with Simon and Vanessa at First Zoom Studios in Taipei a few weeks ago.

Simon and Vanessa are both pros despite the fact that they are relatively new models in terms of actual modeling experience. All of the models I’ve worked with from EMM have been easy to work with and very accommodating towards all of our photographers in general.

With this in mind, I thought I’d introduce you to Escape Model Management…

Escape Model Management was created in the latter part of 2009 to meet an ever-growing demand for models, actors, make-up artists, and aspiring talents in Taiwan. As someone who is already familiar with the modeling industry in Taiwan, the owner uses his many contacts in Taiwan’s entertainment industry to meet that demand.

A few months later, he was joined by Jaclynn J, an international model hailing from Hawaii. As Assistant Director, Jaclynn helps Daniel with the day-to-day business of running a modeling agency by helping to set up meetings and appointments, place models with appropriate professionals, coach models on the ins-and-outs of modeling, and by accompanying them to each shoot to make sure everything goes smoothly.

In the past six months, we’ve worked with a number of models from Escape Model Management. Below, you’ll find my photos from that day of shooting, but I urge you to take a look at some of the links below to see what other photographers have accomplished with the talented and versatile individuals working with Escape Model Management.

Post update: EMM closed a few years after opening. They had great success while they were in operation and were by far the most professional organization I’ve worked with in Taiwan.

Carrie Kellenberger is a disabled author and artist living in Taiwan. I’ve made a living from writing via MySeveralWorlds.com and associated projects since 2007. I love all forms of art, gardening, flower arranging, reading (an understatement if you've seen my GoodReads profile), and snuggling with my cats. Animal videos make me cry. I hate cooking. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my garden bloom! Learning about new cultures and exploring the world has been my thing since I started traveling at age 19. I've been ill for close to two decades. During that time, I moved from being a full time professional travel and culture writer to a full time sickie who works from home. In the past decade, I've run a flourishing business from home, but that time has passed. It's time to move on and focus on my creative side which has always brought me the most joy in life. When life hands you lemons, write about it and create! My hope is that my writing and art inspires and supports other patients living with chronic illness.
